See exactly what's blocking each issue, and watch it clear itself. Blockers shows only the issues blocking a given Jira ticket, with each blocker's live status, and clears them automatically as they're resolved. A project-wide page lists everything that's currently stuck.
On a single issue: open any Jira issue, click the Apps button (the hexagon icon near the top of the issue, next to the "+"), and choose Blockers. The panel lists only the issues blocking this one, each with its current status. When a blocker is marked Done, it drops off and the panel shows "Not blocked".
Across a whole project: open your project and look along the top tabs (Summary, Board, and so on) for the Blocked issues tab. It lists every issue in the project that is currently blocked, and what each one is waiting on.
Blockers reads the standard "is blocked by" links between your issues, so it works as soon as you link issues with the built-in Blocks / is blocked by relationship. There is nothing to configure.
